On Cold Grey Streets

A little poem by a Usual Suspect, lifted from The Christian Book Corner’s FB page:
On Cold Grey Streets
On Cold Grey Streets

On Cold Grey Streets

No one likes a sunless day,
There is no place to go.
The children won’t go out to play
On slick wet streets in dirty snow.
“Turn on,” they beg, ” the big TV.
Please, we’ll miss our favorite show,
And leave the world to swans and geese
To glide through darkened waters slow,
The smaller things in search of seeds
And cold grey men on cold grey streets.
